Instructor Chris Bougeard

I began my martial arts journey as a teenager studying various forms of karate including American Kenpo. After discovering Wing Chun in the early nineties whilst living in the UK (i briefly studied the Moy Yat system) I was pleased to find people teaching the art in Jersey when I returned. After studying locally I decided that I needed more qualified instruction so began travelling to the Uk on a regular basis obtaining intensive private tuition with instructors in the Augustine Fong system of wing chun gung fu, which speeded up my learning progress and knowledge tremendously. However , a couple of years ago after attending a F.A.S.T (Fear Adrenal Stress Training) course, I realised that the system I was then studying wasnt as combative/functional as I felt I needed, so I was lucky enough to discover Sifu Alan Orr and his Ying Hung/Chu Sau Lei system. I am proud to represent Alan Orr Sifu here in Jersey.
